What types of products does Oriental Moods specialize in? We specialize in stylish and classic Chinese garments, apparel, accessories, attractive home art and craft which have all been carefully and individually hand picked from a selection of local markets.
What is our company vision statement? Our company vision statement is to provide you with a unique taste of Chinese goods to an unsurpassed quality standard. We aim to bridge the cultural ties by offering a "piece of China to your very own doorstep". From an extensive history of over 6,000 years we hope that our customers will enjoy to the utmost satisfaction the goods that we can ensure will ornate you with a touch of Chinese class and elegance.
Colors and sizing selection? We offer for a wide array of colors and different size selections for various items shown in our store. From our US size chart you can pick your corresponding size which is based upon actual body size measurements. In addition if your size is not offered we can also offer a custom-made size for some selected items.
How do we recommend that you maintain the fabric and clothes? As Cheongsam is a delicate material normally made of brocade particularly in women’s wear, we recommend that you use a local dry cleaning service to maintain its quality. This would also apply to clothes made of silk and wool fabric. If a garment is not to be worn for extended periods we also recommended that a garment cover, either plastic or moth resistant be used. For clothes made of cotton we recommend to rinse in plain water with a weak detergent and ironed with a low temperature setting.

Why do we not accept money orders? Unfortunately due to the length of time required for us to collect payment which may take up to 2-3 weeks this will cause us possible delay in payment reimbursement to our manufacturer suppliers.

How soon can I receive my goods? We need about 2-3 working days to process the order after receiving the full payment. We offer delivery via Registered International air parcel which takes up to 9-14 working days for you to receive your goods. We also offer Worldwide Express service which takes up to 3-5 working days for you to receive your goods. Notice:Post Air delivery time can not be guaranteed but just an assumption base on the different destinations. To receive s in time, please choose Expedited Delivery. However Oriental moods will not be liable for late deliveries caused by the shipping companies.

How much do you charge for standard shipping? As REGISTERED standard postal air shipping, the postal air start rate is $7.0. If your order total value reaches $188, we will only charge $25 and upgrade your order by the express delivery.

We pride ourselves in individually hand wrapping each and every item personally and depending on the material type of good will use the appropriate protective packing material to avoid any foreseeable transit miss-handling that may occur. We use bubble-wrap, foam peanuts, thick plastic and cardboard protective packaging for packaging. We also offer personalized gift wrapping (see gift wrapping section).

Does Oriental Moods charge for tax? We do not impose ANY tax on our customers. As this is a random procedure depending on the country of destination most of the time the customs tax and duties may not be charged as residential. You should announce it’s your personal package without commercial intention to debate the tax charges when it happens. If unfortunately you are faced with any import charges due then we will be responsible for paying back them according to your real order value. Simply fax us the tax receipt to allow us check the detail tax percentage and we will reimburse you the part of the tax base on the real order value to compensate your lost.
How do you handle charges & exchange rates? For our customers who pay by credit card there may be a slight fluctuation in currency exchange rates from the time our bank converts it into Renminbi currency.
Can I get my goods specially gift wrapped? Yes we can personally gift wrap your goods with a typically Chinese style wrapping paper that will add the final magic touch on your gift! In the final step of the check out process you will find the gift wrapping selection option.

Can I exchange items? If you wish to exchange an item, simply send it back to us as new. If the price of the new item is higher than the original item you returned, you should pay the balance but please contact our staff prior to returning the gift for exchange. Discounted items cannot be exchanged . We suggest you make careful selections for clothing before you finalize your order. Please refer to the appropriate size chart information when ordering clothes.
What if my package is damaged or has a manufacturing defect? All solid products are carefully wrapped with utmost care to ensure a safe delivery to their destination. In the rare event that you encounter goods damage, you may contact our staff for assistance.

Who pays for shipping exchange or return items back to Oriental Moods? The Customer will be responsible for shipping their items back to us, whereas we will be responsible for the re-shipping exchange items back to you after receiving returned items. If your exchange item(s) value is bigger than 50% of the original order value, the customer will need to pay for the re-shipping fee. If the returns caused by wrong shipping address given or unsuccessful delivery due to the absence, customer will pay for the shipping fee for resending.
Can I return the goods for a refund? Refunds will be given at the discretion of the Company Management.
We allow ALL BUT THE FOLLOWING products to be returnable/refundable: - Custommade clothings. - discounted and bargain selection items - items purchased over 45 working days - items damaged by improper cleaning method
In return for refund cases, we will issue you with an immediate full refund of the value of your returned goods less a 10% re-stocking fee. The shipping fee cannot be refunded.
How do I cancel an order? An order can be cancelled at any time prior to the goods being shipped out. Upon shipment of the goods we will not be able to process your cancellation. The Custommade order can not be cancelled after the payment made.
How do I track my order? After placing an order we will notify within 3-4 business days either via e-mail or fax (please ensure that these details are included in your order request). Please keep record of your order number for any future reference.
How do I obtain store credits? Oriental Moods can offer you dollar credits for item exchanges, reimbursements, etc. One our members of staff will assign you with a personal store credit number which you can use during the checkout section. Upon processing of your order we will do the billing adjustments.
Do you offer store coupons? Yes we offer store coupons during promotion periods which can be used against discounts, free gifts, free shipping, etc. during the checkout section where you will prompted for a coupon code. Only one coupon can be used per order.
